Pure Principles comes from my passion to make safe, chemical-free skincare effective and affordable.
The 5,000-year-old science of Ayurveda* teaches us that what we put on our bodies should be just as pure as what we put in them. After I completed my Ayurvedic studies, I began looking for skincare products made with wholesome and unadulterated ingredients.
The skin is the largest organ of our body and absorbs all that we put on it. While our digestive system protects our bodies from any toxins we may eat, once our skin absorbs something, there is no such protection. Chemicals, preservatives, and unnatural ingredients are toxins that enter into our blood stream and become a part of us. Some even have the potential to become carcinogens.
As I looked everywhere from corner drugstores to high-end skincare boutiques, I couldn’t find products that were as clean as I wanted them to be. Adding to my frustration were skincare lines claiming to be “all natural” and “organic”, but contained ingredients with names that I couldn’t pronounce, and I didn’t want to put that on my skin.
That is how the idea for Pure Principles was conceived. If I couldn’t find it, I would make it myself using my Ayurvedic knowledge of herbs, oils, and botanicals. It is my passion to bring this ancient wisdom to skincare so that everyone can benefit from skincare with integrity.
